The Salvation Army Framingham
Framingham, MA 01704
508.875.3341
Details: Miracle Kitchen: The Miracle Kitchen is our nightly feeding program. We serve dinner five nights a week, Monday through Friday. Each night, a different volunteer group cooks and serves the meal. Doors open at 5:00pm, when coffee and snacks are served. Dinner is served at 6:00pm. The meals go fast to our hungry crew - so don't be late for dinner! Bread Room Ministry: On Tuesdays and Thursdays, people from the community can come in as early as 9:00am and get a number for the Bread Room. After the donations come in (around 11:00am), the numbers get called in order at Noon. The donations are from Trader Joe's, BJ's, Roche Brothers, Whole Foods and Stop and Shop, along with produce from the food bank. We also sometimes have items that we get from the food bank that we can put out for the Bread Room. Depending on how much comes in, the volunteers let the people know how much they can take. They are allowed to come in every Tuesday and Thursday. Food Pantry - Required: Photo ID, Proof of Framingham Address. Once a month
Details: It is our mission to provide hunger relief, improve the quality of life, and connect families and neighbors in need to essential services in our community. Our goal is to reduce levels of food insecurity, while strengthening the connections between people and available resources. With food pantry locations in Framingham, Marlborough and Clinton, the United Way of Tri-County’s Food Security Initiative and Community Connection will help to provide regular access to non-emergency sources of nutritionally adequate foods. 2. I don,t think Salvation Army does a full food pantry. There pretty limited in what they give out I think and I have been told they ask for proof of need which can be a problem for some who are not on welfare or food stamps like the working poor

  9. Dropped off a bag of food to A Place to Turn today. Was really impressed with their set-up. Feeling bad I have not done this in the past, but will do this once a month going forward. Thanks for the push Jim

  10. Nice work poster...if some did just a little... so many could be helped. I can't imagine the sheer despair some families must be going through.
