Since the tolls have been taken down, the traffic jam has gotten worse. At least when the tolls were there.. motorists had to stop or slow down for a split second.. allowing drivers in the left lanes to get on the Pike heading east. I don't know what the possibilities are for the entrance ramp to the Pike, but something has to be done as the nightmare will only get worse when students and everyone is back from vacation.<br />Bring back the toll booths is a suggestion one driver has.jim pillsburyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01372814672050316477noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8517736040315331529.post-6144035421055282462017-06-21T16:57:45.701-04:002017-06-21T16:57:45.701-04:00Can't believe you got a response! I never even thought of contacting them, have just been cursing them loudly as I sit in traffic every morning for more than 30 minutes trying to get on the Pike. Hooray for you, and for the good news in their responseAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8517736040315331529.post-1862167182943496462017-06-21T12:57:59.136-04:002017-06-21T12:57:59.136-04:00Dear Mr. Pillsbury,

There are not fewer lanes, but it the lanes are narrower with the barrier in place so the traffic is restricted. The good news is that the contractor has now finished the work in this phase of construction and will be removing the barrier in the section today and restriping the wider lanes tomorrow. This should improve the traffic flow. When the project is completed this fall, there will be an additional lane in the connector road to the on-ramps and to effectively move more vehicles.Jim Pillsburyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13994415040029248494noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8517736040315331529.post-81428175809731768102017-06-21T11:34:18.374-04:002017-06-21T11:34:18.374-04:00So I wrote to MasssDot.. and they replied.
