I would presume, the costs are the same here, if not more, per hour for State employees. <br /><br />We have some really good pension bennies here in Mass and you don't have to work 40 years to get them. This will have to change at some point, the entitlement days are over.<br /><br />More relevant news is on the web now. Print media just can't do the volume any longer. The world is changing at light speed, no print company can keep up. We have to seek it out, unfortunately.Jim Pillsburyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13994415040029248494noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8517736040315331529.post-63289396476561541092009-04-17T17:21:00.000-04:002009-04-17T17:21:00.000-04:00Just another way the states is robbing us. Criminal if you ask me, but no one ever asks what I think. Hope you can get this information out there Jim. I had no idea it was this bad. Do you have numbers just for MA?J. Why don't the papers run this story? Can you get the MetroWest or the Globe or even the Herald to run these figures. If this does not motivate people to do something about these parts of the state budget, then nothing will. Not only are the paid way more than the job is worth, but they are lazy, in most cases only have a 37.5 hour work week, and most of them goof off for half the day anyway. If I were a state worker, and this information was widely published, I would run for cover myself.Juniorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11043491252184573973noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8517736040315331529.post-28186246895678864272009-04-17T15:29:00.000-04:002009-04-17T15:29:00.000-04:00Are these numbers for real? I mean, an 18 month notice for a layoff, paid for unused sick days, work one day in the year and collect another year of pension money, who in their right mind gives out those kinds of percs? Only state employees get that. And they complain about their jobs on top of that. Don't forget, our state reps are state employees and get all tehse ridiculous benefits also!Richhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00793085913501493181noreply@blogger.com
