SJC rules... Finneran can't practice law

For those of you junkies out there who followed the Finneran case back 8 years or so... the SJC ruled he will not get his license back to practice law. It's taken years for this justice to occur and as one who has brought attention to his crime of redistricting his district, eliminating some black neighbors who would not have voted for him, the Finneran era is finally done.

Beacon Hill is watching and for those who violate the trust of voters by fixing a race, watch out... the State is watching you.

Tough to get on this site lately. Came back from the holidays and have not had much luck getting on. But in any case nice to see Finneran being help accountable but I really don't think that is a sign of anything around here changing. Beacon Hill may be watching the ethics issues but they have been watching those issues for the last 100 years so I really am not expecting any of them to really hold one of their own accountable for unethical behavior. But I hope I am wrong and you are right and that we are going to see some changes

Is that the only thing they are going to do to this guy? Take away his law license?

Finneran is just 1 in a long line of corrupt MA pols. He is no longer a politician with any clout so lets not get all caught up in wasting time on him. We have more than enough corrupt politicians still screwing us at the state house to worry about.

Agreed Michael... but it took years for justice to come and perhaps is one reason why pols aren't affraid of breaking the laws.

If Beacon Hill is in fact watching, it is only because they want to make sure if anyone has an idea about how to lie, cheat, or steal that they have not thought of themselves, they can learn it by watching their associates on the hill!
