The D's are making news
In a surprise move, some local D's are asking Kelly Timilty (the useless Governors Council member) not to run again. Citing her 8,000 dollar fine levied on her in 2008 for using Deval's name on her campaign flier. Please note, she is being paid 26,000 a year, can opt into the States health care program AND can write off travel expenses.I have personal experience with the Council and as far as I can see, they are worthless hacks and should be laid off.
Two D's are pulling papers to run against Richardson. Walsh and Rizoli. It's just to bad JR didn't have the mind to run as a R. He would have been in the hunt to the end. It should be very inetresting to witness JR beating on Richardson about ilegal immigration and just as interesting to see Walsh maintaing the staus quo here in Framingham.
Patrick Kennedy not running... oh my. After 8 terms, multiple rehab stints, and his latest gaff, saying "Browns election was a joke", is his undoing for sure. I never thought I'd see a day when a Kennedy was not in office.

I can not believe she even has to be asked to not run. If she got in enough trouble to have to pay an $8000 fine, then how can she even think she has the right to run again. Oh yeah, this is MA, and we re-elect you when you are found guilty, we even re-elect you after you die.
You mean after she did what she did with the governor, she still has her political appointment? So the governor thinks that even though she got caught doing something bad enough to get her fined, she is still a worthy person to hold that position? Why the heck didn’t he fire her or demand that she resign?
Amazing what goes on around here the we know nothing about. Thanks for keeping me informed Pillsbury. What exactly is the Governor’s Council and what are her duties? I am assuming she is part time, so what hours does she work and what does she do, besides things she is not suppose to do!
Nice to see that at least some of the locals are smart enough to raise the issue with this woman. The gaul of her to think she could use the governors name on her campaign materials and get away with it. To me that is an indication she can not be very bright.
Off on vacation and the wife has forbidden me to bring a computer, so will be out of touch for the next week. Keep up the good work here Jim and glad to see you are going to run for Town Meeting member. Get yourself out there where people can see you are more than a 1-2 issue man and they make a run at Richardson. This blog is a good starting point, but not everyone reads blogs. Happy vacation to all of those like me who still have their vacation schedule in line with school vacations.
The council approves Judges and is the go between for residents who can't get anywhere with anyone else, to Devals office.
There may be a few more things they are supposed to do... but it's all nepotism at it's best.
