Beacon Hill Celebrates... shame for the next two years

Lots of smiles and hand shakes this week on the Hill. Our beloved Governor gets sworn in again for another round of what we know now is, extensive travel to promote Massachusetts. The more likely reason is to promote his book and run for Senate in 2012 against Scott Brown. Which may be why Lt Governor Murray had such a long speech today... he'll be appointed when Deval wins in 2012.

Today's inaugural love fest was brought to you by insurance, financial and high tech companies that kicked in 700,000 for us to witness all this love. Last time, we as taxpayers paid 2 million dollars to crown Deval... remember back.. didn't we have a renewed sense of hope?

But as we already know, much of what went on for the past 10 years will continue at the corner office. Denial and impasse, excuses and sound bites, blame and eloquent speeches.

To ignore what went on the day before on the Hill would be unfair to the unaware. Robert DeLeo was unanimously re-elected Speaker of the House as was the minority whip for the R's.In what can only be explained by sheer arrogance on the speakers part, ALL THREE convicted or indicted former speakers were there to receive a warm welcome from the party faithful. The R's lined up and spoke what most think... what kind of an example does the legislature show when rolling out the last three house speakers that had to resign for corruption? Asked what he thought by a reporter, Representative Walsh said, he didn't think it was a big deal.

One may conclude from the historical record that we the people are in for the very same disrespect from State government as in the recent past. The latest and greatest example is the pay cut that legislators have to take.... 300.00 a year or .05%..... is that not an insult to us all?

Does it surprise anyone in Framingham the Rep. Walsh voted for DeLeo, and saw nothing wrong with parading the previous, indicted Speakers as honored guests through those hallowed halls? Shame on you Rep. Walsh for lack of a back bone. Some are ignorant and can be forgiven in light of that, but you know better!

Hope the Rizollis got Walsh’s statement on tape. This could be the next viral Utube video brought to you from the people of Framingham MA! He must have taken lessons from Richardson.

I can excuse the vote for DeLeo. But to publically say he did not see anything wrong with all those convicted former speakers being honored at the state house makes me question Walsh’s judgment. They are convicted felons for Christ sake, and Walsh thinks they should be honored! So much for our hopes for a smart and ethical state rep. He is either dumb, or corrupt himself, neither of which bodes well for Framingham.

I voted for Chris, but am very disappointed in his statements published today, and the way he voted yesterday. Not a good start to his term. I encourage all who feel the same way to contact Chris and let him know your thoughts on this. Lets show him he is not above being held accountable for his actions just because he is now one of the elected elite.

Lets give the guy a break here. Clearly you are all biased since you are on Pillsbury’s blog you probably all voted against Walsh. Walsh is our new state rep and before we give up on him for what you may consider a lapse in judgment lets give him a chance to show what he is made of.

Get a life Friend. Walsh’s position on the former speakers is indefensible. Even the MWD thought it was a bad call to bring the past Speakers in or they would not have asked the question. Sounds to me like Walsh’s support of these corrupt individuals could be his Richardson on immigration moment. Took him less time then her to make a fool of himself.

Ha, ha, ha to all of you that chose Walsh. One day on the job and already he is licking the boots of the party leaders. Is there any difference between him and Richardson?

I THINK YOUR STATEMENT SHAME FOR THE NEXT 2 YEARS IS OPTIMISTIC. WHAT MAKES YOU THINK ANYTHING IS GOING TO CHANGE AFTER THE NEXT 2 YEARS?

I for one am surprised at Walsh’s statement. Not surprised that he thinks that way, but surprised that he is so arrogant that he does not care about saying it publically. After all, he is now one of the party loyalists, just like Pam was. Only difference is he wears pants instead of skirts, or does he?

You have to go along to get along, and Chris apparently knows that. Problem is we elected him to be a counterbalance to all the old shenanigans that have ruled the MA state legislature for many many years. Lets hope this was just a case of him being nervous about standing up on his first vote and not a case of him deciding to lay down with the dogs.

Do you really think Patrick is going to run against Brown? That would be an interesting race, but how will he keep Coakley out of the mix?

From today's Globe:
US District Judge Douglas P. Woodlock agreed with Assistant US Attorney John T. McNeil, who argued that Massachusetts politics have become so cynical that two former House speakers convicted of federal crimes — Charles F. Flaherty and Thomas M. Finneran — were “welcomed back like they were some sort of heroes’’ at State House ceremonies on Wednesday. Neither Flaherty nor Finneran was sentenced to prison.

A Judge thinks it is completely ridiculous that the legislators welcomed back corrupt politicians as heros, but Walsh things there is nothing wrong with it. Sounds like he fits right in, as corrupt as the rest of them are.

I think this one comment about he former speakers of the house will be something Representative Walsh is going to regret for a very long time. More importantly I think it tells those of us who he represents that he clearly does not see being convicted of crimes against the people you represent as a big deal. Lets see how much money he can steal from our pockets before the next election. I just lost all respect for the stooge.

AND YOU THOUGHT HAVING PILLSBURY ESPOUSE ON THE POT ISSUE FROM THE STATE HOUSE WOULD BE AN EMBARRASSEMENT FOR FRAMINGHAM. BET HE LOOKS PRETTY GOOD TO YOU NOW.

Guess Walsh is reserving his anger for the illegal immigrants in town instead of for the criminal politicians. Hows that working out for him.

At least if Rizolli had been elected we would have been expecting stupid remarks. Walshs stupidity is more of a surprise. Those U-Tube viral hits keep coming from Framingham.

If Walsh is the best that Framingham democrats have to offer, someone who thinks criminal politicians being honored is no big deal, I am sure glad I am not a Framingham democrat.

Cops shooting old men in bed Selectmen sent to class by a judge to learn not to be bigots holocaust deniers getting 1200 votes and a State Rep who thinks that honoring criminal politicians is no big deal and they wonder why no one wants to live in Framingham. Jim with residents that think like this you should be damm proud they did not vote for you. The only sane ones in the town are the 2400 who supported you.

The illegal immigrants have blocked the down town intersections singing their national anthem but the police can’t stop them because they are with the SWAT team surrounding the local elementry school to catch the thieves trying to get away with not paying their outstanding bill for their subsidised school lunches.

We would like to bring this to you live but the cable access companies in town can not decide if it should be covered by the Government Channel since it involves unpaid school bills or by the Education Channel since the SWAT team is surrounding a school or FPAC since it involves a crowd of people singing in a public place much like the Concerts on the Common and MWD is not sure which of these groups contains the most democrats so they can not figure out where to send their reporters.

Stay with CCFILE for the latest information as the story unfolds.

War of the Worlds, Framingham style.

It comes to no surprise that not one note has been written on Dembors about this. Mr. Orr and the party faithful are way to busy with the library and train crossings to ever permit such discussion.

And then there are the dung beetles who roll bullshit into everything. This is NOT about illegal immigration.
