350 Irving Strret... oversight is still lacking
What is it about this property that causes so much angst among it's neighbors? Why do neighbors have to police this property? Are the owners and renters really that stupid. They know that we are all watching, yet mulch piles are larger than permitted at Landscape Depot. What will lit take for the powers that be, make all of the parties involved at 350, maintain reasonable adherence to the rules. When I see neighbors come before the BOS, over and over again complaining about possible health threats to their lives, one has to wonder what hold do the renters have over the Town's administration. Any other part of Town would not tolerate such lack of respect for the neighbors.

A protest will call attention to this issue, but at this point, I think everyone knows about the problem. We need to get lots and lots of residents to show up every single time there is a meeting about this issue, and voice their displeasure with the powers that be who are allowing this to continue. Then we need to make those individuals who have allowed this to continue that should someone get sick, not only will the town be sued, but the individuals themselves will be sued. They were implicit in allowing a dangerous situation to fester, so if I get sick from this, or my house becomes unsafe because of mulch I bought there that contaminates my land, then I am going to hold them accountable. We complain about our elected officials not listening to what the residents and TM says. That is our fault also for electing officials who think they are above the will of the voter, and for not standing up to tell them they are wrong.
Talking to them until we are purple faced is not getting us anywhere. They partially listen and claim they are on the right side, but do nothing but provide lip service. I'm tired of their disrespect.
Peaceful protest is the only tool we have left to motivate the powers that be.
We need a lawyer to take this on, like that movie Erin Brockovich. If things are as bad as they sound, then there is money to be made for some lawyer if he sues the town for all the residents exposed to this toxic swamp.
No you need Jan Schlichtmann the attorney who took on W R Grace for all those Woburn families. He lost, but all the work he did was the basis for the case the EPA brought against them and won. he still practices in Boston I think
good idea Anon 2... I remember that case with WR Grace.
We need the AGs office and the EPA involved. We need a total state and federal investigation of the town govt.
