Body-cam grant funding

Encouraging news from Tuesday’s CC meeting. After years of needless delays, we learned from Chief Baker, Framingham will receive body-cam grant funding of 211k for 140 cameras. FPD has 90 days to have a body-cam policy in place as well as an agreement with sworn officers to wear the body-cams. The pilot program will now include 30 officers starting Jan 2024. And all officers by July 2024. Good thing the FinCom chair allowed a member of the public give Chief Baker the grant application paperwork on May 6th or tax payers would have been on the hook for that money.

Good news Jim! Thank you for pushing so hard!

I was very disappointed that the mayor had to take the Lord's name in vain with his outburst at 30:45 of the city council meeting video.

I looked at it. You don't see it, you 'hear' it. The time was closer to 30:50 when I watched it. It is clear what he said.

my goodness your right. 30:50 my speakers were set to low.

I'm shocked no one on the council would have said something.

Why did Charlie get so upset over the finance chair's question?

Thanks for pointing that out
