BPA in the news... Mass sends out a warning

Parents, GParents, nursing mothers, little children, pregnant women... and just about anyone who cares about their health and their relatives should heed this warning. That wonderful chemical brought to you by greed and profit is and has been proven to be bad for humans, but especially little kids. I won't bore you on the peer reviewed facts, but it's really common sense. Any plastic bottle with the number 7 or the letters PC next to the recycle sign should be recycled. And no heating of baby food in anything with the number 7 on it. Baby bottles, and clear plastic containers, formula, etc ,etc, etc... look at the packaging to determine if it is labeled with 7 or PC..... it's worth your time to keep this crap out of your bodies.

Why Mass has not completely banned this stuff like Conn did is connected to the heavy lobbyists pressure from the chemical society. I wonder how many of those creeps keep those bottles from their families.

This is just another scam. How come suddenly plastic bottles are bad for us after all these years? Same as milk they said was bad for us a few years ago. They are just trying to get us to spend more money on containers other than plastic. It is nothing but a marketing ploy if you ask me.

I know what you mean 50... it's hard to know when they are lying or just trying to create a market, but I think they have it right on this one. To much credible research has be reviewed by the experts. And just think for a moment, many of the childhood diseases that threaten many of our kids today were not even heard of when you and I were kids...

If these plastic containers are so bad for us and for our kids why don’t they just stop selling the damm things. They make those numbers so little on the stamp that I can not read or find the number without my glasses and plenty of light. How about a big red X on the bottom of any of these plastic containers that contain this garbage. That should make people think before buying them.

More people need to pay attention to this type of thing. We owe it to our kids to be good stewards for their health. We are leaving them with an environmental disaster in the form of global warming. They don’t need any other issues because of our careless disregard for what is good for them. Your kids must be grown by now Pillsbury but mine are still little and I worry about what kind of world they will inherit from our generation.

Arnold,

Nice idea... but the trouble starts when most people don't get enough info on any subject until it's to late, especially when it comes to our health.

Abby,

True it is.. .my girls are grown and have little children of their own. But I do worry that my 4 little Gkids are being subjected to those chemicals that weren't even around when I was a kid.
