Sounds like a great line up. Looking forward to taking in some of these events.
Count me out for the High School Band and the country music, but the rest sound pretty interesting. Nice to see the Town figured out how to make this happen, even in these difficult economic times. It is more important than ever for there to be free events so families who are struggling can do something fun, and more difficult for communities to afford this given they are struggling also. Nice to see Framingham come out ahead on this one and found a way to make it work. Good job to Town Meeting, Selectmen, and Town Manager for these events.
How much does it actually cost the town to fun this? I really would be curious what the dollar value is.
Stop complaining about what it costs. We pay enough in taxes, and many of us don’t have kids in schools that those taxes cover, so we deserve something for all our money. This is one of those things we deserve. Does not matter what it costs, it is worth it.
Readers,
It's funded by sponsors. Jim Eagan is the funnel for this and does a great service for the Town.
I ponied up 200.00 for my banner on the stage as everyone else has done. Vendors give a cut of their proceeds also. I don't think it costs the Town much if anything.
