More bad press from FPD

While watching Fox 25 News last night, another report about a Town employee, who is a "special police officer", who's title is Assistant to the Chief. He carries a badge and gun, but has never done the required hours of training. On top of that, his former employer, fired him for bad behavior while a part time cop.

Why do we continue to read about FPD in such poor light? One thing is certain, our police chief has his hands full of problems and this new round of questionable decision making is something the Mayor and City Council must address come Jan 1.

Please watch this report.

Unbelievable, and this one seems to be directly in Chief Ferguson's lap

What do you do when you have a police force with so much questionable behavior? Who polices the police?

This guy seems pretty arrogant. Must know the chief is going to support him. The FPD is like the three stooges, if the three stooges were all breaking the law.

Police and Fire are the 2 groups that fall under direct supervision of the BOS. They (BOS) have turned a blind eye to the problems and since 2 of them are running for elected office in the City, unions have them by the short hairs.

What happens now? Fox does a story, Framingham ignores it, and this idiot continues to be paid way more money than he deserves and gets to carry a gun and pull people over. I gotts say I side with the union guys on this one. Seems sleezy if you ask me.

the lack of oversight and fear allow this to happen. Halpin wouldn't dare do anything to resolve this. It's up to the BOS, but they live in fear as well. Don't forget, there are 9 officers suing the Town over managements decisions about where and when the cops can do detail work. And these are some of the highest paid employee's in Town. It's a mess with no end in sight I'm afraid. Even bad press won't make much of a difference. Just look at the years of bad press surrounding the killing of Mr. Stamps. The officer that killed Mr. Stamps has never been reprimanded or fired.
