Cancer takes my youngest sister

This past Friday Townsend Pillsbury 62 died with family and friends by her side. A week ago Friday we saw her at Cape Cod Hospital before she was to be taken to Brigham & Women's hospital for tests before an experimental clinical trial hail marry. She was alert and very optimistic even asking us to bring cheese and grapes. So by ambulance she was transported to the Brigham. The tests reveled she to be to far gone. She left Boston for the last time and headed for Harwich with family and friends.
Townsend beat back lung cancer 4 years ago but it came back and spread to her brain, bones and lung again. Having witnessed my dad in 1977 and mom in 2000 die from cancer, it was even harder seeing your little sister waste away and die. I regret not being a better brother.

So sorry to hear this. Sounds like cancer runs in your family. Hope you aren’t doing any of the bad behaviors that can often lead to cancer

Having followed your posts for several years I know how important family is to you which I am sure makes this especially tough. My sincere condolences to you Jim on the loss of your younger sister. I don't know you or her personally but will keep you both and your entire family in my thoughts and prayers.

So sorry to hear this Jim. I am sure you are missing your little sister. Time heals all wounds but it does not ever take away the missing of your loved one who has gone too soon.

Just saw the story about your sister-in-law's husband being released. You and your family are having one hell of a week. Our thoughts are with you.

So very sorry for your loss. Losing a sibling is tough, especially when they are younger than you are.

My sympathies to you and your family on your tragic loss. I think you were probably a better brother than you give yourself credit for.
