Local R's are silent after the Presidents racially charged tweets

I've forced myself to stay out of the Presidents daily ugly messaging, but this latest ignorance can't be ignored. I'd like to read statements from local flag waving republicans denouncing the hateful, racially charged social media posts from their party leader.

Stand on-the-side-lines republican Governor Baker has finally spoken out. Let's see if other locals do the same.

Gov. Charlie Baker jumped head first into the issue calling the president's statements "disgraceful," "shameful and racist."
"The bottom line here is, you are a public servant and if you're in a job where you're a public servant, you should behave that way. And tweets like that send a horrid, debilitating, hateful message that there's just no place for public discourse," Baker said, calling on fellow Republicans to send a similar message.

I agree we have to stop ignoring this racist behavior by our President, and I applaud Gov. Baker for having the guts to do that. Those republicans who are silent are endorsing this behavior by their silence. Shame on all of them

This county is going to hell in a handbasket as my mother use to say. I hold the republicans responsible. When you have a misbehaving child who exhibits inappropriate, bigoted or racist behavior you would correct them. When we have a president exhibiting that behavior the elder members of his party should at the very least correct him and give him a time out. Instead they turn a blind eye. This is not going to turn out well for our country.

Gutless chickens if you ask me. How can anyone not speak out about those tweets.

looks like maybe a resolution coming from the dark side... I wonder how they will spin this, after all his base seems to go along with it.

I hear that some Congressman introduced articles of impeachment. Maybe this will be the straw that broke the back of all those people turning a blind eye to the racist and bigoted and misogynist statements he has made.

and only 4 R's sided with the D's and his approval rating among R's is 90%. Amazing we all live in the same country.

It angers me to think that here in America, the land of the free and the home of the brave, we support the actions of this lunatic. The American dream now is to survive this destructive leader and then try to fix all the damage he has done. Sad.

Lets hope the damage can be repaired. It may be some extended period of time before all our allies call us friends again.
