make your own hand sanitizer

While at CVS yesterday picking up a scrip, I asked the pharmacists if they had any hand sanitizer left and she said no. I suspect that shelves are empty in most stores.
So the WHO says you can make your own hand sanitizer:

How to make hand sanitizer: Ingredients you'll need
2/3 cup 99% rubbing alcohol
1/3 cup aloe vera gel
Optional: 8-10 drops essential oil for smell
Bowl and spoon.
Funnel.
Empty liquid soap or hand sanitizer bottle.
Optional: Gloves.

How to make hand sanitizer in two steps

Step 1: Mix the rubbing alcohol, aloe vera and optional essential oil in a bowl with a spoon. Be careful to keep pure alcohol away from your skin.

Step 2: Funnel the mixture into the empty bottle. Screw the pump cap back on and voila, you have hand sanitizer.

If you believe the president we don't nee this. So we should expect him to start selling Trump brand hand sanitizer soon, right after he decides this is an issue. He is such a loser.

Just back for Target where they have no 90% alcohol. Guess we will all just have to stay home!

after what I just heard from a doctor from the CDC, they are saying anyone over 60 with one or more health concerns, stay home, no movies, large crowds, concerts, large family gatherings, etc, etc.
This makes me nervous. I would hope that the Mayor or Sam Wrong put out a news flash about this and what their plan is to best protect the people who frequent meetings at the Town Hall.

How about using absolute vodka at 90 proof... you may smell like a lush .. but you'll be corona free.

I don't think anything guarentees you will be corona free. Yes. keeping counters and surfaces disinfected is a help, but it does not guarantee protection. Be sure to wash dishes, glasses and silverware in a dishwasher with very hot water. Clothes that you wear outside should be removed when you get home and not worn again until they are washed in hot water. Avoid large crowds and public transportation if you can. No one is 100% sure of all the ways this can be transmitted, so assume the worst and keep yourself safe. Contrary to how the president is treating this, this has the potential to be very dangerous
