Advocating for Lena Kilburn Library Director

Many of you have already heard that Mark Santos is retiring from the Library. A search committee has been assembled and it's down to two candidates. One is our own assistant library director Lena Kilburn.

I/We have worked with Lena over that past few years and is a pleasure to work with and IMO, is a real asset to our Library and community. It makes sense to promote from with-in as it would be a smooth transition when Mark leaves and we get back to normal.

From the Source: Kilburn has been the assistant director of the Framingham Public Libraries since October of 2015. Prior to that, she was the Assistant Supervisor of Branch Services, from January to October 2015. She came to Framingham in January 2013, from Boston University Libraries, when she was hired to be the Assistant Supervisor Children’s Services Framingham Public Library.
