Why ice rinks are now closed... and it's not what you think
I've seen the clip from Charlie Baker on why the rinks are closed now. I had first thought the reason was close in your face contact.. but, I was wrong. It was the parents and the coaches... Lord have mercy. So all those parents who are bitching and moaning about why some sports are off limits... read this:
But according to Gov. Charlie Baker, hockey itself isn’t necessarily the threat. Rather, the transmission of the virus is “likely coming from all the activity around hockey and some irresponsible behavior from parents and coaches,” Baker said during a press conference Tuesday afternoon.
Baker said that “most” of the teams refused to hand over rosters so that contact tracers could follow up with the players and their families. According to Health and Human Services Secretary Marylou Sudders, there were even several instances of coaches telling families not to respond to contact tracers.
Is it any wonder why we continue to be in the red zone?

Irresponsible people are fueling this pandamic. The only satisfaction I take from that is that these are the same people who support Trump, and since Trump is getting his ass kicked due to the virus, I thank them!
At some point this has to stop and hopefully after the election on Tuesday will be that some point. Wearing a mask to save lives should not be something seen as a choice. You can not drink and drive because you may kill someone if you do that so it is against the law and if someone dies because you ignored that rule then you go to jail. Not wearing a mask should have the same consequences. If someone dies because you infected them then you have to go to jail also, and not be allowed to wear a mask in that jail. Then they would obey
Children learn what the live. These parents and coaches are teaching our kids that you do not have to be honest and you do not have to play by the rules. Great lessons for these kids to be learning if they plan to spend their adult life as criminals like our president
Since when did parents turn over to the coaches of their kids teams the right to expect loyalty at all costs to the team? Sounds like these coaches are falling the Pres's play book. Play by my rules, not fair rules. Shame on them
F'ing idiots galore
Ignorant people are everywhere not just in Framingham but they are awfully tough to educate, being that they are usually dumb as well as ignorant
So why are we only shutting down hockey rinks for 2 weeks, why not until the pandemic is over?
closing Loring would mean laying off the entire staff, which may come to that
