27,000 DUI cases may be chalenged
I wrote about this last year. The State Police Alcohol Testing lab didn't calibrate those machines before charging motorists in 27,000 DUI cases from June of 2011 to April 2019, then tried to cover-up the full extent of the problem, according to the Globe. Those who plead guilty to sufficient facts will be given the opportunity to appeal their cases. This along with the two drug lab scandals will cost the state millions.

Just another example of the poor job our state does with anything.
Pretty soon there will be more convicts released from jail because of stupid actions by police or lab chemists than there are non criminals. What is the problem here? Do other states have these same types of issues with incompetent or criminal people working in the judicial system that screw up resulting in guilty people walking free?
How many conviction are potentialy going to be overturned by this? Are we talking about 100 or thousands?
