Our revised budget from the administration

Last night's first go around with the revised numbers can be seen here:

https://webapps.framinghamma.gov/WebLink/Browse.aspx?id=1598418&dbid=0&repo=Framingham

The whole DC meeting can be seen at:  http://207.172.210.8:5002/CablecastPublicSite/show/2328?channel=1

while the graphs are hard to read, the important columns on the right are the one's to look at. Many small cuts were made. And much to my surprise, the administration is including in local receipts 1 million dollars in cannabis revenue. Hallelujah... my work is now paying off. It's just to bad Giombetti and company and the administration dragged their feet for so long or that would have been 2 million in revenue by now.

How much is the water bill going up and are we still going to have the maximum increase of 2.5 percent in property taxes?

hopefully, if the full council sides with the FinCom and administration's recommendations for cuts AND the projected increase in revenue, then there will be almost zero levy increase. But we will ALL be paying for the CPA and the Fuller school.
The water bills are going up and there's not much we can do about it. MRA rate increases, the loss of major commercial water users and paying back for work we did in the past, forces the increase along with mandated storm water remediation. I know it sucks...and the fee structure may change, but lets be thankful we get our water from the Quabin. Look at what Wayland residents are putting up with. A place where there are more million dollar homes than dogs is now in a crisis and is paying 22k a day for filtration service.

Do you think it will make a difference if we elect a new mayor or is this mess we find ourselves in the results of the selectmen putting off for year and years and years doing what should have been done?

no matter who is in office, the water issue is something they HAVE to resolve. Perhaps when our local economy starts back up, 1400 apartments will flush a toilet and shower every day, the rate increases for 2023 may be smaller because of increased usage. And don't forget, a deal with Sherborn to be added to our water lines is under discussion which will affect 2023 water usage.
We have to pay for our water no matter what. And the division must have a solid revenue stream to work off of.

Notice... you haven't heard anything from any potential candidate abut water rates.

The water issue would have been there whether it was John Stefanini or Yvonne Spicer as mayor. John would have just have been better at putting lipstick on the pig.
