Ft Hood ..... is it terrorism?

As the facts unfold, I hope that none of our readers know anyone at Ft Hood at this time. What a freaking terrible tragedy. Perhaps some our our veteran neighbors have gone through there, themselves? Anyone who's anyone, from newbies to Generals go through Ft Hood before deployment and the place is a small peaceful city as it's reported.

A 40 yr old Major with an Arabic last name and two fellow troops. It's all about the motive now... and we may see some changes in this country if it turns out to be politically based or if it's a few over deployed soldiers who just snapped, someone has to figure out how this could happen and quickly.

How can this keep happening in this country? Have we not learned after numerous tradgedies what to look for when someone is planning something like this? More than 1 gunman, they did not decide on the spirit of the moment to do this horrific thing. How come no one saw this coming? Were there red flags that were ignored, like there were at Virginia Tech? Big daddy is watching the wrong things if you ask me.

If you beleive terrorism is an action against a government that results in individuals being hurt or killed, then this is terrorism. What else can it be? Is it the same people who hit the world trade center? If you listen to the news today, it sure does make you wonder. What about the news report on someone leaving an unattended bad at the airport for more than an hour and no one even noticed it? Guess those people at Logan did not learn their lesson. Two of the 9/11 planes took off from here. Don't you think that would make the security people at Logan feel like they should be doing a little more? Apparently not!

this tragedy, like so many others, has revealed more weaknesses in our effort to protect ourselves from ourselves.

It seems unimaginable that someone of that rank and exposure, with all the tell tail signs of real questionable behavior, could possibly slip through the cracks and commit this horrible crime.

Ages 19 to 61, were taken from this world, because to many looked the other way. Shame on us.

Someone clearly dropped the ball on this one. They new this guy was a problem, so they shipped him off to another location to make him someone else’s problem, just like the church did with bad priests. Someone had better be held accountable for missing this. From all the news reports, there were certainly enough signs for people to pick up on.
