Justice for Eurie Stamps ... 5 years later
As many of you who have followed this blog know, I will never get over the fact that I live in a Town where a SWAT Team killed an innocent black man laying down in his own home. Year after year the Town has denied any wrong doing and as of Dec 10th, a 3 judge panel is deciding on whether Mr. Stamps constitutional rights were violated by Officer Duncan. MWDN has done it's civic duty by keeping readers aware of the legal process.

As new years gift, I was sent this audio file, of both sides appealing to the Judges. It's a little long, but worth the careful listen, as any reasonable person would agree, Officer Duncan violated departmental rules regarding his weapon. The bigger question for the judges is... did Officer Duncan violate Mr. Stamps constitutional rights.

January 5th marks the 5 year anniversary of Mr. Stamps death. And in memory of that date, the public will assemble for a candle light ceremony on the steps of the Memorial Building at a later date when the judges render their decision.

Are you sure this is the correct date?
Jan 5th is the correct date.. my apologies.
Nice idea. Make sure you get the date out there widely if you want to have a decent showing and have you invited the Stamps family to join or are you doing this without them
