Schultzs may run as an independent

I've tried to stay clear of the noise created by those who want to run for President. But after seeing Howard Schultzs on 60 minutes on Sunday, I had to weigh in. This guy has the money to get on the ballot in all 50 states and seems to have the record of someone who understands where the bottom is for many Americans. He dosen't come across as some autocratic habitual lying abusing uneducated billionaire who made his living on screwing everyone in his path. He does say the right things and would be my pick over ANY of the two party candidates already in a race for president. I still believe a third party is the only way to draw out the moderates from both sides.

This guy running will insure that Trump gets reelected. Gary Johnson hurt Clinton and got us Trump and now this guy will do the same in the 2020 elections. If you know you don't have a chance of a snow ball in hell, then get out of the race instead of wreaking havoc. For guys like this, it is all about ego. We already have one of those in the White House.

Schultzs is traveling the country for the next 3 months with his book tour. He got a taste of what Anon eludes to at a book signing today. And while that's all happening, more registered republicans wont vote for Trump again, Biden is still contemplating and the Dem's seem to be waiting for someone to take the lead. It's still very early but some have already been in New Hampshire.

I think he is a viable candidate myself, but I do agree he could hurt the dems. Close to the final election if he sees he has no chance of winning I hope he would consider supporting the candidate opposing our current president. If he says he would do that for the good of the country then I would be more likely to support him.

I agree...if he truly wants Trump out... then he could at the last minute... drop out and have his supporters go with... ahhh whomever has the best chance at winning.
I wish Bloomberg would have already decided to do something as an independent. Two Jews at the helm...that would be something to witness.

I think this guy could be someone who could win. He can self fund and that is a big obstacle for most potential candidates, raising money. I am glad to see so many people considering running. If nothing else, having Trump as president has made so many more people engaged and paying attention which is a good thing

I live everything I have read about this guy. Came from a relatively poor family and earned his way to the top. Has not forgotten his roots and seems to tell it as he sees it, not beholden to anyone. That would be a breath of fresh air in our national politics if you ask me, not that anyone has asked me.

I think we need to end the 2 part system but I am not sure I agree this would be a good way to do it because with Trump in the mix there is too much at stake to take this risk that this guy could steal votes from the dems and help Trump win again.

And he and Bloomberg agree on many of the big ticket items. He kinda stole Bloomberg's thunder, but would that make a good debate... 2 independents who got on the ballot in each state... oh my. The Dem's are worried already and some the Repub's are glad. And we are this far out from the election. Neither one of these two guys could possibly be as bad as the current administration has been so far. This may be the reason why we have so many more voting in 2020, who knows. It's along time from now and there's multiple court decisions, a war or two, environmental disasters good change everything.
