Mr Finlay and Mr Lynch have been certified. The list is missing a few names?

I think Lynch's race against Shepard will be one of the most interesting. He seems to have lots of name recognition and support, and I am not sure her record as a DC for the last 18 months is one that is going to impress anyone
I see Morales is running against Ricky Finlay. That could be an interesting race also. I think Finlay has the upper hand there as a well respected member of the School committee
Case, Alexander, Gordon should be interesting as well.
But where's Audrey? Or the last bunch of write-in people who din't make the ballot?

Amanda hasn't pulled papers yet... but she like some others are waiting for the last moment to pull papers, just like last time. Mike has kissed enough rump to make it hard to beat him without pouring money into a race against him.
At least he doesn't need to bend down to do it.

In response to a previous post I would say Audrey won't run. Her reputation has tanked since she pushed forward Spicer for Mayor. She has to see that, even though she seems to think she is still special here in Framingham, but that is simply not the case anymore, if it ever was. She was not willing to step up about so many of the issues we have faced in the last 18 months so has lost credibility. She needs to find a new hobby since I doubt very much politics is in her future.
Where are most of the Town Meeting Members to help? Oh, that's right the city pushers sold us that town meeting was doing a shitty job. That was a great way to watch all that experience give Framingham the finger and walk off into the sunset.
the few TMM's who could have an educated opinion on the budget are not called upon to help or have spoken up. Instead it's just 4 members of the council to review and ask questions in a very short period of time to review and approve. The Mayor could have asked for an ad hoc review committee, but has not.
Looks like Janet Lumbruno has turned in her signatures. Well above the amount needed. You be the judge come November... is she or isn't she could be good for the City Council?
I heard that she was in town meeting for many years but for most of that time she was talking on her phone.
JL was not always talking on the phone. Sometime she sat at the table with all the candy and snacks where they snickered and made fun of other people that were speaking.
I was on Public Safety Standing Committee years ago when she was chair. I begged her to let me ask then Chief Carl about the Eurie Stamps killing and she refused. Carl never wanted to be asked any questions at those meetings back then and there were meetings that went on way past closing time at the Memorial building. Often she would bring her child with her and had somewhere else to go so she left early.
And guess who was with JL at the table? a few more candidates for council, always making that background sound, those of us who sat up front always heard.
Jim you asked would she be good for the council. I think the answer is entirely dependent on who is telling her what to do. She is not an independent thinker. If there is a good person telling her what to do then she will be good, if its a bad person telling her what to do then she will be bad.
Previous poster is so spot on. No doubt in my mind that if Stefanini wins she will do exactly what he tells her to do.

Above Jim you said other candidates also sat there at the TM childish table? I'm trying to get a mental picture of what this batch would look like. Will they be rolling their eyes, snickering, texting to the person next to them what a loser a person coming before them is, ...?
oh you know who there are. They may have even be heard by the Moderator and told to be quiet each year I was at TM. One has left us unfortunately. You'll see them on the council after the election I'm afraid.
Jim I don't specifically know that is why I asked. If you don't want to name them thats OK.
But, if you could choose from anyone in the CIty to be on the council, who would you pick? Who do you think would be best for Framingham?
George King is the most experienced and has the most relevant knowledge. He will most likely be the next council chair.
I like King too. OK 1 down, 10 to go.
