Results of a recently completed study found that an experimental cannabinoid-based topical medicine achieved an extraordinary 90% success rate in healing chronic wounds. ......“The other thing that made me realize that wounds and cannabis were going to mix is that intact skin is hydrophilic, but a wound, on the other hand, is lipophilic. That kind of tissue can absorb THC and CBD which are also lipophilic. So it’s a perfect fit. This was one of my epiphany moments: that the very molecules that are anti-inflammatory in the cannabis extract are going to be able to be absorbed rapidly into a wound bed.”

tough to read the black font on green but great story especially for those of us with diabetes and wounds that won't heal so i just picked up some cbd to try myself wish me luck
If the FDA does not approve it then I am not going to chance taking something that could make things worse. Let’s see where we are on this a year from now
I think it is ridiculous to say wait for the FDA to approve. FDA approved opioids and how did that work out for people? CBD is a natural product and has been around forever. Lots of people have been using this for many, many years. I think you are safe using this topical and to be afraid of it is ridiculous
for many who are bed ridden, this could help mange bed sores and other types of wounds that don't heal well.
Both of us use the topical and I take the oil. I can say it works for us with zero side effects.
considering everything on the market today that has some side effects, CBD products seem to be a logical choice. And if they don't work for you, your out 30 bucks, but if they do, your ahead of the game and your doctor will be impressed.
WOrth a shot if you ask me. I am going to give it a try on some awful cuts on my hands that never seem to heal
Jim when you say it works, what does that mean? If I get a cut, I usually rub on some Neosporin and apply a bandaid. Are you saying you use this stuff instead of doing that or is the use you are talking about something different?
Do you use this instead of anti-bacterial, or along with anti-bacterial ointment? And where do I get this stuff, and how expensive is it?
I use it on anything. I'm not saying or proclaiming, this is the end all of topical medicines. Is it better than Neosporin? I don't know, I've used it in the past with no issues. But some are allergic to any of the three drugs that make up Neosporin and there are people who shouldn't use it at all and should ask a physician before using it.
To my knowledge there are no published reports about CBD allergys or adverse reactions to CBD.
The medical community continues to discover small yet significant healing properties of the cannabis plant for hard to treat entire-body aliments. No one really knew what was in the pot we were smoking and no body really fully understood the medical applications but we were convinced of it's use in treatment of certain diseases.
Thankfully science has looked deeply into the plants structure and found clear evidence of it's potential in helping millions of people every year.
There's a store on Elm Street, CBD Please. 4 Elm Street, closed Tuesday and Thursday, open at 10 am to 6PM. Bill Downing is the owner.
It is a plant that our ancestors used to treat all types of things. We were all fooled by teeter madness into think it is dangerous but no one can give us any examples of this plant hurting anyone ever. Come on people let’s wake up to the potential here!!!!
Good info. Thanks for sharing
one last point, the above CBD based drug also had THC in it. So it's very different than the CBD you get at the store. It has long been established that the whole plant works best because of the interaction between all the components, THC is only one. And as research has found, our bodies have built-in receptors.
