here's what the Gov says can open and when

So it looks like Memorial Day some things can start to open under relatively strict guidelines.  I see nothing but heart ache for small businesses, some of which sadly may never open again due to the limitations imposed.

You think the restrictions are to tough? Why and what alternatives would you suggest?

There has to be rules to live by now. But they cut into the very fabric of our lifestyle, movies, concerts, shopping, large and small crowds everywhere will be changed until people feel comfortable going out. The days of sitting at the local coffee houses and bars are over until further notice.

I don't know of any alternatives. I've seen restaurant owners and others like Day Care operators say they can only make enough money to keep the lights on and pay the employee's. Most service places can't run on 50% reduction in customers. Like many industries it's about how much you can make or serve per day or hour.

Expanding to the sidewalk cafe style like Main Street Hyannis may help some places with the space and of coarse weather dependent, but I would like to see the Mayor suggest that to all the restaurants in Town.
