it's now official... Baker says masks are required

A few months late Charlie and a few thousand lives lost later you finally make it an executive order. This will not bode well for your re-election.

Gov. Charlie Baker signed an executive order requiring Massachusetts residents over the age of 2 wear face coverings in public when social distancing is not possible. The order goes into effect May 6.
Anyone riding public transportation or in retail or grocery stores must wear face coverings. People in other public places where it's not possible to always stay 6 feet away must also be wearing them.
Baker said the order does not apply to people who are medically exempt. He also said people should not use medical-grade masks, instead leaving them for health care workers.

Baker had previously said the decision on whether to require face coverings should be left up to individual municipalities, several of which put it into practice. But on Friday, he told reporters he sees it as "common sense."
Wearing masks when being in populated public places is going to be a key measure in stemming the spread of the virus and reopening the state, Baker said.

Better late then not at all. When will businesses be able to open? If we all have to wear masks we should be able to open now don’t you think?

Who exactly would be medically exempt from wearing a face mask?

Does this mean businesses can open by that May 18th date as long as we wear masks?

it's an ADA thing... some medical conditions would prevent a patient from restricting their air flow

IMO, we shouldn't open up until we can at least slow down the death rate

We should not open until we meet the president's own guidelines for when it is safe to open, which no state has done but they are opening anyway. And since MA is behind other states in opening, I say we wait a bit longer and see what happens in those other states before we consider opening. We do not need a second wave of deaths.

Just another way to control what the public is talking about. ignore all the scandals, like staties and environmental police. Let's focus on facemasks.

I'm hoping I don't run into some ignoramus who thinks they don't have to wear one.

Notice the State Cops are now looking for speeders on the highways... since the majority of speeding tickets already written have been for over 100 mph. Which they claim is part of the recent increases in fatalities.

I drive the Pike a few times a week and going 80 is slow now. No traffic means everyone is speeding. I wonder where they are all going in such a rush

they won't be late for work now... if there not killed in crash.
how easy is it for the State cops to catch these speeders?
and as of yesterday, there's 240 more State cops who will potentially be charged with stealing from the tax payers with phony OT reports.
