Kim Parker is home now

For those of you who have followed the tragic story of my sister-in-law's death almost 8 years ago at the hands of Boston Firefighter Rich Parker, I have news to share. The best gift our family could have wished for came true.

My partner Stehanie Deeley got a call from Rich Parker's family on Saturday to let us know that they had Kim's ashes for us to pick up. Ed, Jim and I went to Salisbury, MA on Sunday and brought Kim's ashes home so she is with all of us who love her. We will forever be grateful for the kindness of Rich's family in returning her to us.

The DA's office confirmed to us this afternoon that Rich passed away from Covid on December 12th, which is how it came to be that his family reached out to us.

Was disconnected from the internet for the holidays to spend more quality time with my family, but not disconnected from media and I saw a story about this by Mike Beaudet and on the front page of MW Daily news. I did not realize when seeing these that this was your sister-in-law. What a horrific story. I am glad for your family that the bastard is dead and she is now home with those her love her

What a bastard Mr. Parker sounds like. Not a great loss to society. Surprised you did not do him in yourself Jim now that I know he was your brother-in-law. Was he really as bad as the stories I have seen lately portray him to be? And why was he never charged with your sister-in-laws murder?

What a terrible story. I echo the question asked by a previous poster, why was he never charged in your sister-in-laws death?

The story may not be over as the facts surrounding the case are being requested. Not that it matters at this point, but we feel that evidence was overlooked, law enforcement looked the other way and the ME's office may not have done a complete job in determining Kim's death.
And now that we have her ashes, we may try to have them analyzed for toxins or poison's, something we never knew could happen. Rich Parker was never questioned about his wife's death, ever.

We did learn from the death certificate that Rich was only in the service for 6 months before he was discharged. He was stationed in Germany and was a suspect in the death of a women in Germany.

Instead of deleting this idiots comments Jim you should tell him why the guy was never charged, which has nothing to do with him being innocent from what I have read. What a slime ball this commenter is,

We don't know the truth of what happened in Germany or the extent of the investigation, now many years ago. Our ADA has the information and may look into it, but Rich Parker is dead and we have her ashes. There is no more punishment that can be handed down, no more investigations, trials or even witnesses. Like most terrible things that military personal are accused of, the truth is often hidden or covered up and excuses are made.

He was never charged in Kim's death for many reasons starting with the responding officer who just happened to be 1 minute from Kim's house, who was a friend of Rich and who is now the Police Chief. It was his call that Kim died of natural causes even though the officer knew there was a history of domestic violence at Kim's home. From that point on, various agencies dropped the ball, including the DA, State Police homicide group and the ME's office. Rich Parker was never interviewed by anyone and rushed to have Kim cremated.
