I think it will be an interesting race for mayor. I know 3 of the 4 that pulled papers and would sadly choose the mayor over the other 2 I know. Know anything about the 4th person Jim?
George is too busy making sanctimonious speeches about the City not responding to FOIA requests to have time to run for mayor. Plus it looks like now he has some big explainin to do about why he didn't release information for a FOIA request directed at him. How will George explain his way out of FOIA 2021-0928?
Thank you.. I found it. I would have never figured that out. I wonder who is behind this request and why George is being silent. He clearly knew something was rotten involving the complaints against Mike and may have chosen not to real him in.
The request:
Requesting emails that were NOT INCLUDED in response to the FOIA request of George King's emails from 3/12/2021 - 3/19/2021. That was FOIA request number 2021-0561.
It is evident that not all the emails were included. This is based on the information that was supplied in the response to a different FOIA request, #2021-0767. That FOIA requested information about employee complaints against Councilor Mike Cannon. On page 10 of that information it clearly shows a detailed email regarding complaints about Mike Cannon sent to George King on 3/15/2021 at 1:13 PM. This email was NOT supplied in the response to FOIA 2021-0561. Futhermore, no mention was made of this email's existence or that it would not be shared with the public.
This FOIA is requesting all emails sent or received on George King's email account in the date range 3/12/2021-3/19/2021, that WERE NOT part of the response to FOIA 2021-0561.
This FOIA is also requesting an explanation as to WHY the email regarding the complaints against Mike Cannon was not turned over and/or WHY no notification was made that the email was being held back. Without knowing that the email existed, there was no way for a member of the public to appeal the decision of not releasing it.
Jim there have been multiple FOIA requests related to the Cannon incidents. On eyebrow raising one is 2021-0861.
The request was to the Human Resources Department:
Are exit interviews conducted with city employees who leave Framingham? The response to FOIA request 2021-0767 reports employee complaints against City Councilor Mike Cannon. How many Framingham city employees who have left have stated that Mike Cannon's actions were a contributing reason for them choosing to leave service?
And now just only a couple of days ago there is the incredible coincidence that the CIty Council just happen to vote to majorly cut the HR director's salary. A warning shot to keep her in line?
The city charter established a strong mayor. It turns out the powers-that-be really don't like the idea of a strong mayor after all. They were shocked when the first mayor pushed back, called them out, or so much as dared to disagree with them on hiring, budget, and other decisions. What they really wanted was someone that they can essentially hand-pick, someone they can oversee, and someone who won't push back. They wanted someone who would just simply do their bidding and sign off on what they want. In other words, what they really want is a city manager! Funny that. It's very convenient that there is a candidate who happens to have the resume for just such a job.
I love coming here to read what people really think. I think you should be the one in your household running Stephanie is too nice to battle that asshole currently serving as our councilor and she has no experince. You do from TM plus you obviously still pay attention to what is going on. Hope you run
in the Mayor's race, along with Charlie and Rick, is Carlos Valadares.
In district 3, Mary Kate Feeney will challenge Adam Steiner
In district 7 Margreth Shepard will not seek another term. Eugene Grzywna Magdalena Katarzyna will try for that open seat. District 5, Bob Case will not seek another term, Noval Alexander have pulled papers District 9 Tracey Bryant has not pulled papers yet but former district 9 councilmen Edgardo Torres has pulled papers for that district.
On the school side, Scot Wadland and Geoffrey Epstein will not seek re-election. The rest have all pulled papers.
Will the co-presidents of the LWV step down in order to run for the D4 seat? Recusal may not be enough to convince the naysayers. The Sauce is already harping on that issue.

I can't see 0928.. page one ends with 0929 and page 2 doesn't show 0928.. help me Rhonda
So far none of the choices are particularly good.
I see it Jim. I had to put 200 in the per page box at the bottom right.
Thank you.. I found it. I would have never figured that out.

Unbelievable and thanks for the details.
I wish the patch would publish these requests again.

Are you really both running for the same seat? Why doesn’t one of you run for mayor?
Draft Kristina Johnson for Mayor! Chair of planning Board.
How do supposedly progressive people support a candidate like Charlie?

You left out district 4, the most important and interesting race of all!
