A sad reminder.. Sandy Hook was 6 years ago today.

It's been six years since the world witnessed the massacre in my hometown. The 20 children and 6 adults killed that day will forever be remembered.
According to EveryTown, there have been 17 school shootings in 2018 alone, and 290 since 2013, shortly after Sandy Hook. These incidents range from mass shootings like last week’s in Florida to accidental discharges of firearms, after-hours fights between adults in a school parking lot and suicides.

A sad reminder of how terrible guns are. We are the only nation in the world that has these issues. What does that say about us?

It says that money has corrupted the system. The NRA has spent millions and millions of dollars on politicians who just ignore events like Sandy Hook.

Why can't we get our act together and stop this? The primary reason is the NRA!

I don't think we can compete with their money and influence, sorry to say. even when most Americans want background checks and closing gun show loopholes... congress just encourages the next shooting.
