the first State cop to be sentenced in the OT scandal
The guy who started the whole investigation, officer Eric Chin got off pretty well. The prosecutors wanted 3 months in prison and 1 year probation for Chin's "betrayal". But instead he gets 3 months home detention, ordered to pay back 7k in restitution and 1 year of supervised probation. Chin pleaded guilty to getting 7,125 for OT shifts he didn't work. He made 302,000 in 2016 which includes 131,00 in OT. He may also lose his pension.

according to Laura Crimaldi and Matt Rocheleau at the Globe: Trooper Raftery who was convicted of embezzlement of 51K in OT he received for work he did not do. He will have to pay back the 51K, 12 months of supervised probation and must serve 3 months in federal prison. He has asked to be in Devens.
He collected 219K in 2016, including 87k in OT. In 2015 he made 202K with 82k in OT. He is collecting a pension check but that will be reviewed by the retirement board at their closed door meeting on Thursday.
