Drug company bosses are now charged

In a first of it's kind, the Feds are charging former CEO of a drug co-op with orchestrating a scheme to distribute high volumes of Fentanyl, oxy and other highly addictive drugs. Laurance Doud former CEO of Rochester Drug Co-operative pleaded not guilty and was released on 500,000 bond.
Fed prosecutor G Berman told reporters that "greed" was the underlining reason this company continued to push these pills to certain areas of the country, while all along knowing, they were highly addictive. The company is the 7th largest in the country and is charged with narcotics conspiracy and has agreed to pay a 20 million dollar fine. The charges will be dropped if the company stays out of trouble.
I trust civil forfeiture is in order, because clearly, this guy benefited from the sales. This case when settled could rock the entire drug industry for pain medicines.

Lets hope this is just the first of many. This epidemic has cost every single tax payer and these guys who are responsible for it should be responsible for covering all those costs. They knew exactly what they were doing and what they were doing was ripping off average citizens and leaving them with their lives in the gutter.

This is for the appearance of doing the right thing. My bet is that these people responsible for thousands of deaths and the destruction of so many lives will never be prosecuted as long as Trump is president. He protects his deep pocket friends.

You know, if this were a major drug king pin, the fed would take custody of all his assets and make him take the government to court to prove they weren't purchased with drug money.
