DA Ryan releases 437 pages of the Stamps killing
Today Marion Ryan released the files (redacted) on the Eurie Stamps killing. I'll let our readers judge for themselves how the cops controlled the narrative.

Awful lot to read here. Sum it up for us Jim. Is there anything new that DA Ryan has done in these released documents or is this just documentation related to DA Leone's flawed investigation? What are the chances that the officer who shot stamps will be fired?
How the hell do you always find this type of information? I did not even know anything had been released by the DA until I saw this post.
When are we going to hear if DA Ryan is going to open her own investigation into this mess?
why did it take 9 years for any of this to be public? we should be ashamed as a community for the lack of response to this tragedy that was caused by a town/city employee and left the family with such a tremendous loss
Very interesting but it will take me a month to read all of this. Thanks for sharing
And old Town Meeting member sent this url from the ACLU. Page down to the yellow section.

I'm only half way through and have moved over to the ACLU part.
These documents show the time line for interviews of those who were there. From what I have read so far, the cops and investigators injected "the house had clutter". Which somehow caused Duncan to fall and squeeze the trigger. If you remember when all this went down, the excuse was Duncan had to much tactical gear on which caused him to not fit in the hallway.
Another point was made about a reflex in the hand that causes someone to pull the trigger, I thought that was a stretch but went along with the narrative the DA and State cops were pushing.
No where did it say that Duncan had to point his machine gun at the head of Eurie Stamps as he laid down on the floor.
And there's the difference of opinion that a swat team member should or should not have his gun on safe when handcuffing a non suspect.
It's clear to me Duncan was standing over Eurie with the gun at 45D angle when he shot, according to the ME, not more than 36 inches away.
But the bottom line is none of this has gone before a grand jury and none of the players were put under oath.
Will Duncan loose his job? after everything that I know about the union contract, it's nearly impossible to fire a cop, here and in all of Massachusetts.
If nothing else a rand jury should have looked at the evidence and asked those involved questions under oath. If that had happened I think there would have been a much different outcome, but DA Leone knew that so avoided going down that road to protect the officer involved. I suspect this case has a lot to do with why Leone left the DAs office. Let's hope Ryan put this before a grand jury at least.
Have you finished reading yet Jim? Would be interested in what you learned as I am too lazy to read over 400 pages
what I understand now is... cops shouldn't investigate cops for wrong doing. With the credibility of the entire State Police (for the past 24 years) in question now... I wonder if that is something to consider doing differently.
The cop clearly violated FPD policy about the use and handling of the gun.
The two stories about where the cop was when ES was shot is in question. The expert says he (cop) was standing no mor3e than 36 inches away with his gun in a lowered (pointed at ES head)
and I still can't see why they blasted their way in, when the suspect was already in custody outside.
And there's nothing about how Mrs Stamps was doing when she head the shot.
The ACLU file is filled with facts as well.
What are the chances this investigation will be reopened by DA Ryan for a real investigation including going to a grand jury with witnesses and letting them decide? I that too much for us to be asking for?
Can someone tell me why the officer involved still works as an officer and carries a gun representing the city of Framingham?
There was no voice from the community that demanded he be charged or fired. The then Chief, BOS and Town Manager didn't want to upset the status quo, IMO.
There may be no political will to take the case to a grand jury, but there's certainly a chance that the officer could be fired, IMO.
