Our Town Beaches closed ealier than last year

The three beaches were closed yesterday, one for contamination as it should be. There's a petition being circulated to keep the other beaches open even if they have no life guards. I believe someone from the BOH will still test the water regularly.

With another heat wave upon us and parents trying to keep their kids busy, in the middle of a pandemic, one would have thought the Mayor or Parks&Rec would have kept at least two of the beaches open. How much can it possibly cost?

And write a note to the Mayor, "Keep the beaches open" in the subject line

Wasn't the sky falling and we had no money and we need to cut everything to the bone? Now people petition to have the beaches open and without people paying for it? If you want the beaches open then pay for it.

I get what your saying....but these tiny little beaches could provide a little relief for parents with kids during this pandemic and heat wave.

jim pillsbury i already pay enough taxes for the kids and their new fancy school. if you want the beach pay for the beach or else go find a damn sprinkler to run thru like we did when we were kids when no one asked for a free handout.
