Charlie Baker's super pac is back

I can't resit writing about this subject. Gov Baker's super duper pac has given a mayoral candidate almost  10k. Along with trying to influence races in Marlborough and Worcester, (from the Patch) The Mass Majority PAC raised over $900,000 in 2021, including two $100,000 donations from Suffolk Construction CEO John Fish and Granite Telecommunications CEO Robert Hale. The Framingham-based Atlantic Management Corporation real estate investment company also chipped in $25,000.

If you recall, he spent a bundle supporting a republican for district counsel here 4 years ago who barely won.

However you feel your candidate is doing, please don't sit home next week. Vote your conscience, vote the facts, vote for whomever you think should lead our town another 4 years.

On Facebook I see Sisitsky is denying taking any money from a super pac. So pay attention people. If it is reported on the finance page for candidates required by the state then it is a legitimate contribution. So not only did Sisitsky take money from a republican superpac, but he then denied doing it. So he is sleazy taking the money, and dishonest lying about it. Are those qualities you want to see in our next Mayor?

Just more lies from this guy. He acts as if we all slept through all the years he was involved in politics in Framingham, both before and after we became a city. My question to candidate Sisitsky is this. You were elected as a district councilor. Your votes from those 2 years, and all your years as a selectmen, are public record. Do you think no one in Framingham cam read, or do you just think you are such a good liar that we will believe you and not the facts?

So Sisitsky is lying about getting money from this superpac? Is he claiming the news story is fake news? Pretty funny from a guy who rewrites history as he sees fit.

A candidate can only accept PAC money. Nobody can control super PAC dollars. They get to decide which candidates they spend money on. The Baker super PAC has backed Democrats, too. I don't like that super PACs exist, but until they're outlawed by way of a constitutional amendment or SCOTUS complete reversal of citizens united, then that's what we are stuck with. To be fair, it looks like Sisitsky has taken far less money from out of town donors than the mayor.

Yes, superpacs decide where their money goes, but candidates don't have to accept the donation. A democrat accepting money from a republican funded superpac just does not bode will in my opinion. Besides, if the candidate is one that republicans think they should support then I am more than a little concerned about the ethics of that candidate
