The top earners in Framingham, Milford, Marlboro

The MWDN did a good job compiling these numbers. The extended list from each Town of the 100 highest earners can only be seen with a subscription to the MWDN.

Note that besides a few school employee's and one Nurse, all the rest were cops. You might wonder if crime has dramatically increase last year but it has not. The majority of the OT is a result of many sick days by the rank and file members, which is a gold mine for those who are filling in. When an officer can make 8 million dollars in OT, something is radically wrong. And no one from the council or the administration will  ever dare ask to reduce the OT number.

Milford and Marlboro seem to have the same issue.

Eight of Framingham’s top earners made more than $100,000 in base pay, with Superintendent of Schools Robert Tremblay drawing the highest base salary at $231,230.86.

Factoring in overtime, detail work and other pay — incentives, stipends or pay tied to educational advancement, vacation time or work vehicles, for instance — five public employees made more than $200,000 in total earnings. All hailed from the Police Department, aside from Tremblay.

Overtime pay ranged considerably among Framingham’s top earners. Police Lt. Leonard Pini, the second highest-paid Framingham employee, garnered $225,694.71 in total pay, with $37,144.92 coming from overtime and $28,417.12 from detail work, according to a compensation breakdown provided by the city.

However, the city employee with the most overtime pay was Chief Public Health Nurse and COVID-19 Nurse Leader Kitty Mahoney, who made $107,077.96 from overtime. Mahoney was one of six women to make Framingham’s list of top 20 highest paid public employees, a group that includes former Mayor Yvonne Spicer.
