There is no escaping higher energy costs with Russia invading Ukraine.

As the horrifying news from Ukraine may be ignored by some, there is no denying that energy costs are rising and may continue to rise no matter what the NATO Alliance does in trying to persuade Putin from going further into Ukraine.

As the US and others try more sanctions against Putin and his oligarch friends, the noose around Putin may well be tightening, which has already made Putin respond with the threat of using nuclear weapons in a country that already is home of Chernobyl the worst nuclear plant disaster in human history, so far, and 5 nuclear power plants.

The largest plant has been taken over by the Russians after a firefight with the resistance fighters. I wonder if the Russians just want to cut off the electrify or something much worse.

The effects of gasoline prices have already happened in a week. I suspect that gas will go to 5 to 6 bucks a gallon very soon, whether we stop buying their gasoline of not. I would hope that the administration (Charlie and division heads) would call for an emergency meeting with the fuel eating departments like Police, Fire, DPW and make a plan to cut OT and unnecessary travel. And be prepared to increase budgets to keep everything running.

I do think the US will eventually have to defend NATO allies at some point.

And we should recognize what those in Ukraine are experiencing with courage and honor when we complain about gas prices here

Biden made the right decision.
Gas will double in price in no time.
The US has plenty of oil.

If we are lucky enough to own a car and fill its gas tank we are in a better position than millions in the Ukraine and those protesting in Russia We need to be better at counting our blessings How about helping our neighbors here in Framingham who can’t afford the increased cost of everything not just gas

I heard that the cost of a barrel of oil has dropped more than $30 in the last few days. How come we are not seeing the decrease at the stations as quickly as we saw the increase?

There's plenty of greed and price fixing imo. The top 4 oil companies report record profits. all double digit billions. And as the war in Ukraine and the US and others stop taking oil from Russia, I don't see how gas prices will go down as fast as the price of a barrel of oil drop.

I'm in awe of the President of Ukraine. Standing up to a super power as his country is bombed to ashes takes real courage.

I heard the Russians had to leave Chernobyl because they were getting sick from the radiation. Servers them right and show how uninformed and uneducated this tyrant is!
