Tonight, the most important TV show/hearing since Watergate
Starting tonight on all channels except for fox (of course) the most important televised congressional hearing I will witness in my life time. The factual extent of the Jan 6th insurrection probe will finally be seen on the record, for all to see.. or not see.
As our country faces many hurdles that we don’t have control over, holding those accountable for their actions is paramount to restoring confidence in our elections and the rule of law.
I hope that FPS records these hearings and plays them for age-appropriate kids as part of civics classes.
I urge everyone to watch the hearing and tape the water rate hearing for later viewing or watch it on demand. As you and I know, no matter what is said, no matter how many people show up, no matter what, the mayor has made up his mind... and the council will agree ... to raise the rates by 16% this year. With smaller increases the following years, according to the water consultants. The administration is forced to raise rates or have a deficit of 4 million.
We had to know it was coming. I only wish the Mayor and FinCom had cut some spending elsewhere just a little.

Boy oh boy.. that Liz Chaney knows how to deliver. Can't wait to see the rest
You can see it on demand at: https://www.cnn.com/2022/06/10/politics/january-6-hearing-donald-trump/index.html
And Monday's hearing was as good as last week's. All of Trump's inner circle confirmed that Trump just carried on with the lies, despite everyone around him saying his allegations were not substantiated by the facts.

No hearing today... due to technical reasons.. I'll bet they found something new and wanted to check it out before airing it in public.
On another note, the congressman who lead a tour of the capital the day before the insurrection is seen making pictures of the stairwells in the building. Although the authorities have said he did nothing wrong, it remains to be seen if they can tie him to a specific person who lead the riot.
Can't wait for Thursday.
These have been amazing so far. I think the committee is doing a great job laying out the events and the issues we all suspected but did not know the specifics of. What are your thoughts on if this will lead to an indictment of Trump? I hope at least it leads to him not being supported by Republicans to run for president again! Can you imagine the laughing stock America would be if he did get reelected after all of this?
My hope is that Garland will see enough facts from the hearings to hold Trump accountable for something... what that charge is and what can the government prove will be the deciding factor in my opinion.
I don't think Trump will ever be elected again... even with all his rabid ignorant followers.
From today's hearing, when I learned the proud boys were going to kill Pelosi and VP Pence if they encountered them was pretty shocking... only 40 feet away were they from the proud boys. I bet the secret service people were armed to stop them from killing Pence. And now learning about the pressure Trump put on Pence to reject the votes... just amazing.
But that former Judge took forever to speak his answers from the committee, like watching paint dry.
