The masses didn't show up against Arizona Immigration Law
Over this past weekend, we were told of thousands of protesters ready to invade Boston, in protest of the Arizona Immigration law due to start shortly out there. The main fear is racial profiling.
A few hundred people, mostly bused in showed me how little support they had amongst the Mass natives.
The Justice department is suing Arizona over the constitutionality of the law in hopes of delaying it's inception. This has proved to be unpopular with Americans and in a recent poll, 71% support Arizona's write to deal with the illegal immigration problem.
All this because Congress has refused to do anything about illegal immigration for so many years now. And now that one State is trying to determine it's own fate, Uncle wants to clamp down on them.
Look for this to be an hot topic later this campaign season as voters will be asking which side of the problem we are on. I say, good for Arizona for leading the charge. If the Feds can't or won't do anything, the States must. It's way out of hand.

Are you saying you are in favor of the AZ law Jim?
I think we need to make the federal government do their job, not take it on as a state responsibility. We can not pay the bills now in MA, how are we going to pay for taking on responsibility for all the illegals in our state. I worry that this AZ law is going to lead to more of a burden on the states.
I'm for State sovereignty Fred. And since the law says anyone involved with a police encounter, can be checked for illegal status... I'd say it's better than nothing. Imagine if we did that here in Framingham.
Although the ACLU has written that the law is un-constitutional, it does have the support of most Americans.
The feds have had 10 years or more to clarify and resolve the problem, which is a political nightmare for the D's.
We need to stop this over run of people from other countries. Close our borders to all, both legal and illegal, until we can get jobs for our own citizens. Take care of our own, then deal with helping others I say
I sent this email to state rep Pam Richardson about Illegal Immigration about Utah and what they are doing to fix the Illegal Immigration Problem. Pam Richardson does NOT answer my emails or phones calls to the state house. The Utah BILL is very reasonable and not racist and would be a great starting point for MA and Framingham.
This is my email to her:
I would like to see this written for Massachusetts.
I would like your comments on this Pam
