China's fail-safe syetem to track contagions failed

This is free from the NY Times. It was also published in the Globe today. There should be no doubt in anyone's mind how China failed to coral the virus from that market in Wuhan. Even now, leaked government documents reveal the depth of the governments failings.

Seems like governments everywhere failed. What else is new

This was a new system so glitches should be expected and as our o president reminds us every single day no one has ever faced this before. They should have called Donnie for advice and then it would have run perfectly

Do does this mean the counts we have seen from China are wrong and it could be much worse then we have been led to believe?

Was the failure intentional or simply due to not having the opportunity to use this and work out the kinks?

Everything I read today seems to point to the fact that China intentionally covered-up the cause and the amount of deaths there starting in December in Wu Hun.
Tensions are running high between our President and the President of China and the Globe reports that both sides have agreed to put down the animosity and work together to help the US gather important data. The fact that a plane load of PPE supplies came from China last week and delivered yesterday shows some sign of cooperation. Given that most all of the crucial front line PPE comes from China, we have little choice to play nice for now.

It's hard for us to understand the way China is run. Local appointed bosses are encouraged not to tell the truth about anything that makes China look bad. It's communism at it's worse.
