Soldiers home disaster may be Baker's problem after all
It appears that the suspended superintendent Bennett Walsh has gone to court to delay a meeting of the executive board until Walsh can speak to other officials he had supervised, including one he said should also face scrutiny.
All of this mess will be investigated by Baker, Maura Healy and Andrew Leling the Federal prosecutor. With all those eyes on this, they will get to who knew what and when they knew it. According to what I have read, Walsh notified Baker, Francisco Urena Sec of Veterans Affairs, and others about severe staffing shortages and the lack of PPE. As of now, 40 veterans of that home have died with 36 being corona 19 virus related. Perhaps more than one person should be held accountable for this disaster that continues to unfold even with the National Guard there, even if it's the Governor and his administration.

Just another example of Bakers poor oversight of state employees. State police, transit workers, ME, On and on. Yet people still support him
that may change if the investigators find out he knew way more before so many of the veterans had died.
Just saw this story on CNN. This could be the demise of Baker
He at the very least has some responsibility for this. And hooray for the guy who was heading that place for having the guts to tell people what really was going on there. Sounds like they kept asking for help and everyone ignored them. I basically like Baker, but as we hear more and more about issues with state run agencies, including this one, he is sounding more and more like Trump, nothing is his responsibility
