Remember MCR labs and dumpstergate?
Our BOH must be absolutely giddy over the Cannabis Control Commission's fine. Even BOH Wong can't top that. We have our top dog drug team task force member who just happened to be driving by for his attention to the micro grams of THC found in the dumpster. This action by the CCC sends a strong message to others in the field .
The Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission has fined a Framingham cannabis lab $225,000 over allegedly improperly disposing of cannabis.
State investigators visited MCR Laboratories in January to conduct an unannounced inspection of the facilities, after receiving complaints that vials containing marijuana and marijuana product waste had been disposed of in an unsecured dumpster at the facility, according to an order voted on Thursday by the five-member commission.
Commission staffers found that in four days in January, employees had deposited waste in an unlocked dumpster outside of the lab’s facility. Liquid waste containing marijuana also wasn’t stored or secured properly.
The lab also submitted documents to the state for 7,510 samples received from Nov. 1, 2018 to Jan. 23, 2019, finding that the documentation lacked the manner and location of disposal or handling of all marijuana sample entries recorded. The documentation was also missing the required two signatures of employees to witness the disposal.

They knew the rules and did not follow them, so the fine is fair if you ask me. I am all for these place but only the ones who obey the rules
This is just going to fuel the fire with those Reefer Madness people. Those opposing the pot grow on Eastleigh will find some way to make this part of their argument.
Does that $225,000 fine go to the city? If it does, who decides how to spend it? If it does not go to the city, who does get it?
it's a State fine... they get it all as far as I know.
good point on Eastleigh...I can hear Gerry now
I thought the fine was to high compared to the crime
Can the BOH gone them also?
They screwed up and now they need to pay the price. Let’s hope they learned their lesson
I wouldn't be surprised if our BOH will try to pile-on with their own outrageous fine. I wonder if other businesses (not pot related) would ever get that kind of fine if their dumpster was not locked up.
