Troopers who lost job over vaccination refusal

File this under, It's about time someone held the troopers accountable.

According to the Herald, Colonel Chris Mason who fired Troopers who refuse to get vaccinated and had no legitimate reason why.

The head of the State Police has informed troopers fired for failing to get COVID shots that their permits to carry firearms will be “expired” as of next week.

Col. Christopher Mason’s letter, obtained by the Herald, adds the ex-troopers’ ability to possess guns or ammunition will be suspended until they seek licensing through their hometowns.

“Please be advised that effective July 6, 2022, your Massachusetts State Police issued License to Carry Firearms … will be expired by the MSP and will not be renewed,” Mason writes in the letter dated June 20 and shared with the Herald Wednesday.

Thirteen troopers were discharged by the State Police after the height of the pandemic for failing to get a mandatory vaccine against COVID-19. It is unclear if all of the officers dismissed have received a letter, but the Herald was told that most have.

How about that Cassidy Hutchinson.. what a witness

Man o Man... that brave republican young women gave us a front row seat picture of what was going on in the White House on Jan 5th and 6th. When she made recalled conversations with it clear that Trump and Meadows knew full well what was going to happen on the 6th. When Ms Hutchinson repeated the story about what happened inside the beast, (the Presidents travel vehicle) you realize how far off the reservation the President was willing to go including hanging Pence and allowing rioters with weapons to go in without going through metal detectors. Imagine if those with assault rifles were in the Capital building?

Along with other damming facts, I can see why now the Jan 6 committee had to put Cassidy on the schedule now rather than later. Her testimony was very compelling.

Calling all seniors... Baker wants tax relief for seniors

 In the Globe today,

https://www.bostonglobe.com/2022/06/27/metro/latest-push-lawmakers-pass-tax-relief-baker-focuses-states-seniors/

a piece about Gov Baker trying to get tax relief for seniors approved in the House and Senate before they leave for summer break. Part of his proposal would double the maximum credit low-income seniors can claim to offset property taxes, double a pair of refundable tax credits people can claim for dependents or child care, increase the rental deduction cap from $3,000 to $5,000, increase the thresholds for “no tax status,” eliminating the income tax for more than 234,000 low-income filers, and double the estate tax threshold from $1 million to $2 million.

As many of you know, the State is overflowing with tax revenue and no shortage of where to spend the money and on whom.

I suggest sending Maria Robinson and Jack Lewis an email asking them to support this.
