Earth shattering Supreme Court rulings, yesterday's hearing
This morning I learned that the high court over turned women's right to an abortion. Yesterday was a decision to stop authorities from denying people permits to own and carry guns. And today I learned the State GOP is suing the State to stop mail-in voting.
Both decisions put our State in precarious positions. Many lawsuits from people who were rejected from buying a gun. There will be no State were a women can get an abortion and in some places, people facilitating someone in an abortion will be prosecuted.
I guess we are living in a time when the Supreme Court has changed our lives in many ways. It may be decades before these issues are taken up again, if ever. And thanks to the madman who still thinks he is president, the rest of my life will be shaped by the conservative majority on the bench.
The hearing yesterday reinforces the facts that Trump knew all along he lost the election and tried his best to force DOJ officials to lie about the fraud that was never confirmed anywhere. Thankfully for our country, former acting attorney general Jeff Rosen, former acting deputy attorney general Richard Donoghue refused to say there was fraud.
And then we learned that 5 congressman asked for pardons. They are Matt Gaetz from FL, Mo Brooks from Alabama, Andy Biggs from Arizona, Louis Gohmert from Texas and Scott Perry from Pennsylvania.

You are right about the Court impacting our lives for many many years to come. I hope voters, and those people who don't bother to vote, think about this when casting their ballots for congress, and when it is time to elect a president. Their power is often in their legacy, and appointments to the Supreme Court are a very lasting legacy as we can now clearly see
THe right to bear arms, miranda protections and a women's right to choose all forever changed by this Court stalked by Trump. Sad day in this country.
Yes Miranda as well. Thanks for the reminder
I see lots of plans for protests. That is not what we need to do. We need to let legislators across the country know that we are not in favor of this and that those who supported and voted for legislators who did support the election of these conservative Supreme Court Justices that we are not going to send them back to Congress to make more decisions stripping away rights that have existed for 50 years
Any comment on last night's forum? If you watched on AF-TV then you saw quite a shit show. Anyone see it on You Tube or in person?
We watched it on AF TV. The League was not prepared, the sound was terrible, Shepard got all the face time on Zoom, seems like one candidate got the questions a head of time and a few questions were geared towards one candidate. Other than that, the League should be embarrassed with this event. The show is not on demand yet on AF TV and I hope it is.
