Helping Your Neighbors - Especially Now

Things are tough for all of us, but for those who have lost jobs and teeter on losing their homes, I ask all of you who can to give a little to a food pantry listed below at this time of great need. No one in our community should go without food and you will feel better by contributing to those who are less fortunate then we are. We went to BJ's and bought $175 worth of staples for the Salvation Army in Framingham. We ask you to do what you can for this winter of hardship that many of our neighbors will most certainly endure. Together we can be a part of the solution.

Toll Increase Public Meeting

The anticipated public meeting, to be held at Nevins Hall, December 17th, 6:30 to 8:30 PM. Written comments can be mailed to General Counsel, Mass Turnpike Authority, 10 Park Plaza, Boston Ma 02116, from January 8th to January 14th. I strongly suggest that everyone who cares about this write to the Mass Pike Authority.

Had enough of the Toll Increases?

A massive coordinated peaceful protest should be planned around the homes of all who continue to ignore our wishes.... what else is left for us to do? Running the tolls will only hurt our pocket books, a planned slow down on the Pike will only make everyone angry. Let's organize... make this happen... send them a message. If we get enough toll payers to show up around the law breakers homes, perhaps, we will show them we are serious about the continual assault on our pocket books and the continual l disrespect they have towards the will of the voters. It’s up to you… I’m willing to lead this charge… but I can’t do it alone.

Election Day Tampering

When we arrived at Juniper Hill School, we discovered some of our signs had been removed. The night before, we had painstakingly measured 150 feet from the door. The officer on duty informed me that he had taken the signs down because they were within the 150 foot boundary. I asked how he measured, and he responded he "guesstimated". There were 7 signs pulled down at Brophy School and it is unclear who pulled them down, but these too were well outside the 150 foot boundary.

On November 3rd, an altercation ensued in the morning when I stuck 6 of my political signs in the ground around the border of the Common. While I was there 2 women approached me and told me I could not put the signs up and I had to take them down. I explained to them that this was not the case and to check with Jim Eagan. While talking to those women, a Park and Recreations employee screamed at me from his truck to say I could not put the signs there. As I was walking across the street to my car, this Town employee pulled his vehicle in front of mine and told me again I was not allowed to put signs on the Common. I told him to contact Jim Eagan and left the area. The signs were pulled sometime after 5pm on Monday.

Good morning and thank you for stopping by.

You may have seen the articles in today's edition of the MWDN relating to the election. As many of you know, the on line version of the paper allows comments from readers in a blog section following each article. This morning, I commented on three of these articles on the election. However, the MWDN has chosen to block my ability to post to any of these blogs. I believe this is in direct violation of my right to free speech, as all of my comments met the requirements for posting listed on their site. I think it is important for the voters of Framingham to know that I am reading and commenting on the issues that are important to you, however, my ability to let you see those comments has been limited by the MWDN. I do believe there are many important issues facing all of us that deserve our attention, and so I am moving on at the moment to those issues that are important to all of us in Framingham. I will be in the parking lot at Ace Hardware today from noon - 3pm. Please stop by with your questions, comments, and concerns (and maybe something warm to drink!). As always, I am available to listen and respond. Silencing Jim Pillsbury is not an easy task, and certainly not something the Metro West Daily News is able to do!
