Could Mrs.Robinson be going to Washington DC?
From MasterList:
Rep. Maria Robinson is reportedly among the front runners to replace the commissioner of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Utility Dive's Catherine Morehouse reports. A final nominee has not been revealed but the White House has been vetting the second-term representative.
The Framingham Democrat previously served as director of wholesale markets at Advanced Energy Economy. Robinson did not immediately respond to a MassterList request for comment

Well this could lead to some interesting moves if she is appointed. Could mean someone running for DC would change there mind and run for this seat instead. Any one care to guess who might run?
If she is given this appointment what would the process be for replacing her as out state rep Mr. Co-President of the LWV Framingham?
whomever runs would have to live in Middlesex 6 district. Like before, there would be a special election. The timing if she leaves could be important.
my guess would be Mary Kate Feeney, Janet Leombruno and a few more that might want to.
Great possibilities that you have got there so far there Jim P. One who worked for a Republican governor but goes to great lengths to hide it, and another who publicly gushes over a Republican governor.
Janet Leombruno is on the State board of embalmers and funeral directors???? How did she qualify for that????
MK got her ass kicked coming in deal last when running for this seat before so I can't see her doing it again, and I expect that info about her actually being hired when Mitt Romney was the governor, which she manages to hide very well, is going to come out during the candidate forums. Plus, she is not a qualified candidate in my opinion as she does not pay any taxes, even through rent, as she still lives at home with mom and dad. Nice arrangement if you can get it. Plus she touts herself as being a small business owner but it does not appear she even does anything with that business as she is employed by the high school she went to. Seems she is not quite ready to grow up and be a responsible adult yet. Too many cases of her not being completely transparent or honest for me to ignore. Plus, in my book, the fact that she hangs out with Janet Lembruno, Susan Petroni, and Mike Cannon makes her the wrong person for any elected office in my book.
If she does in fact take the job, I'm sure the Democrats will find someone from within their ranks to run because it is important to have a true progressive Democrat in that seat. Depending on the timing, one of the current Democrats on the CC could run for her seat instead, but with the balance of power on CC so precarious, they may be dissuaded from doing that because holding their CC seat may be seen as more important. They have at least four progressive CC seats to defend. It may be easier to find a different replacement candidate for state rep than it is to find a replacement for a district city councilor.
Like the progressive they chose to run against Mayor Spicer? Come on, that is not exactly a good example of democrats pushing forward progressive candidates.
The people who support Spicer's opponent have no real sway within the local Framingham Democratic party organization. They may be high profile elected officials with D's next to their name, but they don't speak for the local party apparatus.
Sure enough Janet is on that Baker appointed State Board of Embalmers. She must know something about dead people I guess.
On the comment above I would say that if these people supporting Spicer's opponent truly have no sway in the Framingham Dem committee then the committee needs to step up and be more involved
Who then does speak for the “local party apparatus”?
leombruno is not qualified for state rep or even the undertaker board but poltical big wigs have to reward their faithful servants she does know how to make a motion to end a meeting so she is not entirely useless
If you are a true blue registered Democrat you should attend a Framingham Democratic Committee meeting, consider becoming an associate member, and then instead of just guessing or surmising how you think it all works, you will learn a little bit more about how the whole apparatus actually operates and what rules govern its actions or decisions with respect to local issues, campaigns, and candidates. If you are not satisfied with the way things are, you too have the power to do something. I've learned the lesson that simply complaining about things won't solve anything. Are you helping out with any of the campaigns?
