How many assault rifles are registered in Framingham?

In a move that will piss off 2nd Amenders, Dicks Sporting Goods will no longer sell assault style rifles and high capacity magazines. I hope other dealers do the same in Mass.
My question is how many of these rifles are registered in Framingham and out of those (if there are any) are in homes with school age kids? As we know, many of the past mentally challenged kids have had access to these weapons of mass destruction in their homes. Taking away the chance that another kid shoots up a school should be of the highest priority for Framingham.

CANNABIS FOR CANCER WORKSHOP: USING CANNABIS TO TREAT CANCERS AND THEIR SYMPTOMS with DR. JORDAN TISHLER

Dr. Tischler and other doctors have referred many cancer patients to CBD Please. Some of those patients are now in remission. Science has told us for decades now that cannabis can be a great comfort for cancer patients - managing pain, anxiety and nausea. Now science indicates a combination of CBD and THC can stop tumor growth and halt metastasis. We in the Boston area are so very lucky to have a local expert in Dr. Tischler.

All are invited to meet

Sunday, March 4 at 7:30pm at the CBD Please office at
One Central St., Framingham. Easiest parking is on Elm St. on front of 3 Elm Street.

Framingham Fire Department by the numbers

For those of you who have followed TM over the past 5 years, you might remember my questioning of the sick time taken that results in overtime. I asked for the numbers directly to FFD and it wasn't until I filed a freedom of information act request did I get the answers. The good news is that 42 FF's took advantage of the  the no sick time used stipend, this is up from last year at 37. There are 149 total FFD employees. The budget for last year for overtime was 1.2 million dollars. You may ask why the OT is consistently high, the answer is sick time. Last year, 107 employee's took 796 days of sick time. The previous year they took 700 days sick. Other categories that contribute to overtime are: Administrative leave (what ever that is) 30 days, Comp time 174 days, death is the family 33 days, family sick days 65, injured on duty 333 days, jury duty 2, military leave 79 days, personal days 110 and vacation days at 1169.

The reasons for a million dollar plus overtime every year are many. Some without question, some very questionable. I'll leave it up to the budget process now in the hands of the City Council to examine why there is so little progress in reducing sick time and overtime.

As a comparison, in 2016 FFD posted the answers to my questions at TM while I was on Ways and Means.
Administrative leave 76 days
Comp time 112 days
Death in Family 28 days
Injured on duty 154 days
Jury duty 3 days
Military leave 158 days
sick days 700
with 37 FF's taking the stipend for perfect attendance.

From the Globe: 2 More State Cops retire suddenly

I hope our readers would remember the "daughter of a Judge" getting pulled over on the highway and offering sex to not give the daughter a ticket or an arrest. This story exemplifies what's wrong with our justice system and the State Police.
The two cops on scene were instructed by their command staff told to redact most of what they wrote when the "daughter of the Judge" got busted.  The 2 cops are suing the State for being pressured to falsify documents. Their Boss and his second in command retired last week in a none ceremonious way.

Now we learn, 2 more high ranking cops retired today over hiring a known drug dealer, a girlfriend of another State cop.. and the sage continues.

Please have a read of this.. The conspiracy by those in power to squash an arrest of the "Judge's daughter" drunken/drugged driving stop is in plain sight now.

Flutie Pass.. another 175 apartments

Don't blink.. or you will miss the grand opening of another apartment complex. DDR Corp out of Ohio is now scrapping the idea of a bowling ally and sky diving amusement center for a 225 space parking garage on the Natick side of the property. The new version of the property has 7K of retail space and 8K in restaurant space. What about traffic you ask? Feb 22 the principals will discuss this with the Planning Board. The land is zoned for light manufacturing. Growing apartments I guess qualifies as light manufacturing. Can you imagine how many cars are going to clog Rte 30 when this is done. Getting on and off the Pike will again be slowed further at peek commuter times.

The Mayor's ride

The controversy around the purchase of the Mayor's decision to purchase a 43k sport utility vehicle has dominated the news this week. Some say she could have taken the Town Mangers police vehicle, some say it should have reflected the environmental concerns of the City and bought a Prius. Some question the money used to purchase her vehicle taken from the Facilities budget was not right.
As the Mayor has stated, it's within the State Law that she can decide how she gets around the city.
I agree. But the optics of this purchase is what's at question. The costs of a new city government will rise as time goes on, something we were promised that would not happen.
I do agree with those who say, the request for the purchase should have gone out to bid.

2.6.18 Council Meeting

The sound in the room was very bad. This condition is a cary-over from Town Meeting that has persited for over 10 years. On replay, one can hear the new mics drop out while people are speaking. I have e mailed the Mayor, Ron Rego (Gov TV) and Dennis G asking her to fix the problem before the next meeting.
The pot issue came up and I was so saddened to hear some of the comments from the Council. A few of them haven't a clue and have been influenced by lies, mis-information and propaganda. Richardson wants a moratorium for more time to do what?, Judy Grove is afraid of mold and house fires... what next?
I made 11 copies of the current draft of the rules and regs (cannabis commission) for the cannabis business and gave them to the council, which they had never seen... reminds me of Town Meeting.
The lawyer who researched the paths going forward left out many crucil items in her presntation. And this war will continue to the 20th.

On another note, there were three x candidates for council sitting close to my location. They talked almost the entire time, along with texting. Another reminder of Town Meeting where people just did not listen.

Warning: IRS fake call

Last week I had a message from what the recording said was the IRS. The vioce said there was an arrest warrant out for me miss -filing my taxes. The number they gave was 509.600.0938.
Please don't be fooled by this phishing expatiation. It's a scam to take your money under the guise of the IRS.
